Tori Spelling has been on our style radar ever since she announced her fourth pregnancy to actor Dean McDermott. Even whilst in her third trimester, Spelling couldn’t look more the radiant mum-to-be as she’s photographed looking chic and curvy on the red carpet in the run up to her due date.

But this busy mama has a maternity style secret up her sleeve.  Over the past few months, Blossom have noticed Tori’s covetable preganacy curves and perfectly put together style choices. It seems the 90210 star’s go-to-accessory to achieve this look is a simple but effective waist belt. When you are in your second and third trimesters, a stylish belt or tie above your bump gives your body form and flatters pregnancy curves leaving you with a beautiful hourglass silhouette. It’s a fail-safe maternity accessory that can be applied to a comfortable and casual maxi dress for daytime, and transferred to an evening maternity gown a la Tori.

In fact, Tori even posted this maternity style tip on her blog ediTORIal. On the belted look, she wrote:

‘As your belly grows you lose your waist. But, when it comes to style, I say create a new one! If bump is the new black, then under the boob is the new waist! Either belt an empire waist dress or take a loose dress with no waist and create one. Stretchy vintage belts are especially great for this or repurpose an old scarf or some rope. Even a cut up t-shirt can make an amazing stretchy belt. Add some beads to it and you’re suddenly a trendsetter. However you choose to belt your bump remember to wear it proud!’

The belted maternity bump is an easy look to achieve, with minimal effort involved. This Johnny Was Serenity Obi Belt is a great designer investment item that can be worn with a simple block coloured maternity dress all year round. Try pairing it with this cool and casual Atessa Maternity Dress for a contemporary boho-chic look.

Or why not let Blossom do the work for you? This luxury Nora Empire Line Maternity Dress is handy enough to come with a built in belt. The sequin detail and fluted sleeves, coupled with the flattering tailored silhouette will make this dress a hit at any party or special event this season. Pair with simple black heels and let the dress do the talking!

Whatever your style, stay cinched in this Autumn with a flattering waist belt.
